L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfect 30+ Cream SPF 21 PA+++: The Good, The Bad & the Ugly

If you ever had a close look at the skincare segment, you will notice that most of the skincare products can be categorized into products for different skin types, but not for different ages. If you  really had to categorize the skin care segment, then you could probably divide them into two sections - 'anti-ageing' and anything 'other than anti-ageing'. Most of us, who are in our 20s and early 30s would use the ‘other than anti-ageing’ products, while our moms would use the ‘anti-ageing’. Yep! There isn't any product or range that can be categorized for each age group. Well, that is where L'Oreal Paris comes in.

L'Oreal recently launched their age specific skin care range called L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfect that has skin care products that have been specifically formulated for each age group. The company has formulated skin care moisturizing creams, face washes a that are for specific age groups. The entire range is divided into three categories - 20+, 30+ and 40+. Yep, finally a range where you know that this product is solely meant for you! L'Oreal had sent across the product to me at the beginning of February and I have been using the 30+ cream since then (I turned 30 last year :P). Read on to see how the cream fared.

The L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfect 30+ range comprises a moisturizing cream and a face cleanser. Both the products have Pro Collagen, which is perfect for fighting those fine lines. This particular range targets early signs of ageing, which is the appearance of fine lines around our eyes, mouth and neck, slight pigmentation and dark spots. It also helps to whiten and remove signs of fatigue.

When it comes to packaging, L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfect 30+ Cream comes in a white round glass container with a screw top. Although, the container is made out of glass, the container is quite sturdy and will definitely not break if you drop it from your hands from a slight height. The screw top seems to be air-tight and leak proof.

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Price: Rs. 99 on wards
  • Shelf Life: 36 months
  • Weight: 50 gms
  • L'Oreal claims: “L'Oreal Paris Age 30+ Skin Perfect Range comprises a moisturizing cream along with cleansing foam. Both contain pro collagen which is perfect for fighting those fine lines that begin to appear in your thirties, giving you younger, glowing skin.”

The consistency of the cream is creamy with a slight gel texture. While applying, the cream goes on smoothly and gets absorbed quite quickly, leaving the skin soft, supple and smooth and without any traces of oil. I liked how my skin felt soft and supple after applying the cream. It also acted like a perfect base for applying cosmetics!

The Good:
  • While, I am not sure if the cream whitens or not, but it definitely brightens your face and removes dullness.
  • Adds a subtle glow to the face.
  • Improves skin texture. I noticed that my facial skin was soft and smooth after using the product for two weeks.
  • I don't have any fine lines on my face as yet, so not sure if it actually works to reduce lines or not.
  • Has SPF!
  • Sturdy packaging. Can be carried around easily in your bag or luggage.
  • The entire range is priced from Rs. 99 on wards!
The Bad:
  • Since, the cream has SPF, it left a slight whitish cast on me. However, I noticed that if I massaged it properly, the white cast doesn't happen.
  • I find the perfume of the cream to be a little strong. However, this might be because of my extra-sensitive nose. I am sure others may not face this issue.
The Ugly:
  • No ugly in the product.
My rating: thumbs upthumbs upthumbs upthumbs up/5

All in all, I think this is a good product to use as it effectively improves the quality of the skin and the skin tone. Another factor that I loved about the range was that there a dedicated product for each age group, thereby, ensuring that it is a tailored made solution for all lovely beauties out there.

You can read about the entire range here.

So, tell me have you used the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfect 30+ Cream as yet? If not, will you be buying it? Do let me know what you thought about the products in the comments below.
